Subject:porcelain floral diorama
Posted By: Gwenda Wed, Apr 04, 2018 IP: 1.122.46.85

Hi,
I do hope you are able to help me with some information. I recently purchased this Japanese completely porcelain arrangement of chrysthanthemums, birds and bees with kittens. It was purchased in the 50’s and had never been washed!! Was covered with years of grease and grime. It has no marks to the bottom of base but does have Japanese characters incorporated into the scene decorating the base (only at the rear scene). I am attaching photos of relevant details. I have been searching on the web for something similar but with no luck. Each petal of the flowers would have been attached by hand.
Sincerely, Gwenda
